PsycholoBee offers professionally tailored psychological services for people, communities and organisations, aimed at alleviating distress, promoting wellbeing and fulfilling potential. Based in Manchester, I work primarily with businesses and organisations who are located within the Greater Manchester area. However, I also provide online consultation, and can travel if face to face meetings are needed or preferred.
Whether you are a business, an educational setting or other type of organisation, a community, family or an individual, I can offer a bespoke service. Recognising that people’s needs are very individual, all of my work is personalised for your requirements. With a focus on strengths and relationships, psychological packages may include:
PsycholoBee was created with the aim of sharing the value of psychology more widely. Our wellbeing, relationships, health, activities, environments and financial circumstances all affect us. When they are unstable or are feeling out of our control, our sense of purpose and of who we are can be threatened. Applied psychology can help when life is challenging, but being equipped with preventative tools, and an increased understanding for how to flourish, can really go a long way.
“Psychology – the science of how we think and behave – can make a real difference. In business, helping to understand the behaviour of employees, customers and competitors, a professional psychological perspective can be a key element of success. Dr Petra Gwilliam is a superb psychologist, who has developed her skills in the frontline of NHS services. She is able to bring a wealth of experience in understanding the complexities and oddities of human behaviour and intervening to make measurable differences in people’s lives.”
Peter Kinderman
Professor of Clinical Psychology, University of Liverpool;
Past President of the British Psychological Society
“Petra has been an exemplary colleague of mine for over a decade. She has helped the Lancaster University’s Doctorate in Clinical Psychology excel in her multiple roles as a service lead within the NHS. She has provided exceptional contributions to training as a clinical supervisor and teacher, and insightful and compassionate leadership as co-chair of our Programme Board. Petra is able to offer any organisation opportunities to explore and improve culture and well-being, focused as she is on achievable solutions which balance the needs of staff alongside the demands of performance and productivity. I could not recommend her more highly.”
